HOUSE OF BEATS operates this site from Israel. Contact us via /contact.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash, and sign-in time.
- Purchase records: product, amount, and the payment reference Gumroad or Stripe sends us. We do not store full card numbers.
- Download events: which entitled file was requested, and when.
- Contact form messages: desk, email, and the message you send.
- Optional Academy progress if you use ear-training tools on an account.
Why
We use this data to run accounts, deliver files you are entitled to, answer the contact form, and keep staff tools accurate. The legal bases we rely on are performing the contract (your account and purchases) and legitimate interests in securing the site (rate limits, session checks).
Cookies
Essential cookies only. The site sets a sign-in session cookie and may set an entitlement cookie so a granted download survives a cold start. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics cookies. You can read the short notice in the footer.
Payments
Gumroad is the merchant of record for Gumroad checkout and processes that payment data under Gumroad’s own policy. Stripe, if used for membership or Academy, processes card data under Stripe’s policy. We receive a confirmation, not the card.
How long
Account and purchase rows stay while the account exists and as long as we need them for tax, refunds, and fraud checks. You can ask us to delete an account via /contact. We may keep a minimal purchase record where Israeli bookkeeping rules require it.
Sharing
We share data with the host (Vercel), the database (Neon), email delivery (Resend, if configured), and the payment processors above. We do not sell personal data.
Your requests
You can ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion of account data via /contact. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local authority. Listeners in Israel can contact the Privacy Protection Authority.
